Video transcript:
Hello everyone, welcome
to Perth Primary School's online Maths lesson for Year One and Two students. I
created this webpage for you all so that you may continue your Shapes studies
here. All of the navigation menus are located in the Top Navigation Bar.
To begin, go to the menus
in the Top Navigation Bar. Then, from left to right, there are six menus. You
will find all the tasks I want you to complete there.
The first is a YouTube
video of 2D shapes. Please read the instructions on the window first, then click
on the video to watch it. In this video, you will learn about 2D shapes. The
full transcript is available below the video for better understanding.
The second is a YouTube
video of 2D vs. 3D Shapes. Please read the instructions on the window first,
then click on the video to watch it. In this video, you will learn about the
difference between 2D and 3D shapes. The full transcript is available below the
video for better understanding.
The third one, Faces of
Shapes, is an activity. "Finding faces 1" gives the best estimate of
how many sides the 3D object has. To see all of its different faces, you rotate
it. You may view 2D forms in 3D shapes by painting each side of a given object,
such as a triangle or a rectangle. Please first read the instructions on the
window. Please play in the game.
The fourth is a tool
called the Shape Tool. The shape tool can create any geometric form. Students
must practice numerous patterns using a variety of shapes; rotate the body by
quarter, half, three by four, and flip. After constructing new patterns, click
on the printer icon and give your name, then print or save the result in PDF
format and send it to palc1498@gmail.com. Please share your findings in the
comments.
The fifth one is a
dictionary called A Maths Dictionary for Kids. A Maths Dictionary for Kids is
an animated, interactive mathematics dictionary with simple definitions for
over 995 terms, including Kids' math vocabulary, examples, interactives,
calculators, and activities. You can use the dictionary if you require a term
or definition. Please go through the dictionary to find more, and so on. Please
click the picture for A Maths Dictionary for Kids.
The final one is a quiz
called 2D and 3D Shapes II, where you can practice what you have learned about
the Shapes. Please first read the instructions on the window. Ensure the quiz
mode option "Choose a Study Mode" is selected. Please take the quiz
"2D and 3D Shapes II quiz," complete by answering questions about
shapes. Once you are done, please share your findings in the comments or send
quiz results to palc1498@gmail.com. If necessary, parents or guardians may
assist you with typing.
If you have any questions
or recommendations, please leave them in the public comment box at the bottom
of the page or the private one on the right-hand side. Thank you so much, and I
hope you have a wonderful time exploring the Shape Class.
Goodbye.
